CPU Cleaning: Drives
Remember those big floppy disks from way back when? Well, times have certainly changed. Today, CD-ROM's and DVD's seem to be the way to store data. But we want to make sure that when we open files or use the disk, they open properly and provide us with clear images and clean data. Start with a CD/DVD lens cleaner. During normal use, various contaminants can get into your CD/DVD player and fall onto the player's laser lens. They can cause the laser lens to improperly focus on the information encoded on the disk. Skips and other sound distortions may occur, and in extreme cases the disk may not play at all!
Dr. Dust-Off® recommends a Dust-Off® CD/DVD Lens Cleaner. Unlike other systems, the Dust-Off® CD/DVD Lens Cleaner is a dry system, but just as effective. Using it on a regular basis can help extend equipment life and improve sound quality.
Dr. Dust-Off Tip

The Dust-Off® CD/DVD Lens Cleaner is compatible with most CD-ROM equipment, CD players, DVD players, CDI drives and is great for most gaming consoles. If you are a smoker, more frequent cleaning is required. We recommend that you clean your CD/DVD lens every 4-6 weeks for optimal performance.
