Dust-Off Non-Flammable ECO Duster Set for U.S. Launch
ECO Duster to Feature Lowest Possible Global Warming
Potential of Any Non-Flammable Duster
Branchburg, NJ – Falcon Safety Products, manufacturer
of the Dust-Off brand of consumer electronics cleaning products, proudly
announces the U.S. launch of its Dust-Off non-flammable ECO compressed-gas
cleaning duster. Falcon Safety Products is proud to be one of the first U.S.
manufacturer’s to utilize this revolutionary new propellant; a move that is in
keeping with the company’s long history of environmentally conscious
manufacturing choices. The ECO duster, which was released earlier this year
throughout Europe, has been very well received in Norway, Germany, Switzerland,
Portugal, and UK among other countries.

The non-flammable ECO duster will provide consumers
with access to the very latest in compressed-gas technology and the highest
quality choice for special needs cleaning in the home, office or lab. While the
new propellant utilized in this new duster is more complex and costly to
manufacture, it will satisfy the demand of a significant and growing segment of
the consumer market that is willing to pay a premium for products that
contribute to greater environmental benefit. A new, colorful and “green” can
design with the “ECO” name prominently positioned on the primary graphic panel
highlights the environmentally-sensitive platform and distinguishes the product
on retail shelves.
The launch of the ECO duster enables Dust-Off to
expand its already substantial product range and continue to lead the industry
in promoting environmental accountability. The non-flammable ECO duster will
feature a GWP (global warming potential) rating of 6 – a rating that is 99.5%
lower than any other non-flammable duster on the market. This new offering
from Dust-Off represents a significant improvement in terms of safety and
environmental impact.
To achieve this extremely low GWP number, Falcon’s
product specialists worked with product engineers from Honeywell, a global
leader in next-generation fluorocarbon technology, to introduce Honeywell’s
non-flammable HFO-1234ze tetrafluropropene propellant into the Dust-Off line.
In 1994 Dust-Off became the first brand of
compressed-gas duster to switch from a propellant with a GWP of 1430 to one of
124 – a demonstration of the company’s market leadership and commitment to
environmental accountability. As the market leader, Falcon takes great
pride in setting the standard for environmental and product safety in it’s
industry, as demonstrated with the introduction of the ECO duster.
Available in the United States , the
ECO duster will initially be available only in a 5oz offering, which will carry
a suggested retail price of $24.99. Plans are underway to offer the ECO duster
in a variety of sizes in the near future.
